Enrichment feeding

Calm, curious dogs start at the food bowl.

Why enrichment feeding works

Ten minutes beats a long walk

Ten minutes of sniffing works the brain about as hard as a 30-minute walk. One session settles even a high-drive dog for the rest of the evening.

Fast eaters face a real health risk

Gulped food means swallowed air, bloating and vomiting on the rug. A maze bowl or mat slows every single bite, with no training needed from you.

Licking calms the nervous system

Repetitive licking releases endorphins, which is why a frozen lick mat takes the edge off fireworks, vet visits and long evenings left home alone.

Our story

Sniff & Settle began with one restless dog and a very tired owner. When we replaced the food bowl with a snuffle mat, evenings changed — fifteen minutes of foraging, then one very settled dog. We now curate the enrichment gear we wish we'd found on day one, and nothing we wouldn't use on our own dogs.
